Yolanda Anna Faga (nee Di Costanzo) of Oakland, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at the age of 89.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Thomas, her loving children Thomas, Joseph, and Ann Marie, wonderful mother in-law to Susan and Steven, adored grandmother of Jennifer, Michael & wife Danielle, Mario & wife Danielle, Thomas & wife Jessica, Joseph, Giovanna, Mitchell and Ava, beloved great-grandmother of Tanya, Howard, Joseph, Giovanni, Antonia, Daniella, and John-Joseph, and great great-grandmother of Melanie.

Yolanda was born July 9, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York to Benedetto and Maria Di Costanzo. She was raised in Ischia, Italy until the age of 7, when she returned to Brooklyn with her family. Her family remained in Brooklyn, where she met her husband Thomas. They married February 12, 1950 and they too settled in Brooklyn, where they welcomed their sons Thomas and Joseph. In 1960 the family moved to Worcester, Massachusetts. In 1967, they moved to Oakland, New Jersey and welcomed their daughter Ann Marie. Yolanda enjoyed being a part of the community and joined the New Comers and Gardening Clubs, bowling leagues as well as other activities. She was a part-time playground aide for the Wyckoff District for 27 years before she retired.

Her greatest joy was being the matriarch to her family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with her family, watching her grandchildren, and just being in her family's company.  She saw the beauty in everything and everyone, and always had a kind word or compliment to give.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 10 @ 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Oakland Memorial Home. Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, October 11 @ 10:30 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 117 Franklin Avenue, Oakland, New Jersey. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, New Jersey.
