January 18, 1944 – June 12, 2025
Volker Loewrigkeit 81, a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Proud Veteran passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2025.
Born to the late Werner Loewrigkeit and Annemarie (Kirsten) Loewrigkeit, Volker was a lifelong resident of Wayne, NJ. He graduated from Wayne High School and honorably served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War stationed in Ft. Lee Va. and Phu Duc, Viet Nam.
Volker received many Commendations. Bronze Star, Viet Nam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Sharpshooter Rifle, Combat Infantry Badge.
Above all, Volker was a Family Man. He found his greatest happiness in the company of his Children and Grandchildren. Whether attending Band Concerts, Motor Cycle Racing, or watching them play Baseball, Football or Soccer, he never missed a chance to say, "That's my Grandchild!"
Volker was predeceased by his Son, Robert. He is survived by his Wife Suzanne, Brother Peter (Alice Jane), Brother Dieter (Donna) Sister Ute Madonna (Michael), Daughter-In-Law Elizabeth (Napoletano), Sons Kenneth (Carolyn) Christopher (Nicole) and Nicholas (Janine). Grandsons, Robert, Cameron (Allie), Connor, Nicholas, Cohen, Alexander, Christopher, his Grand Daughter Olivia and many Nieces, Nephews, and Special Friends.
Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, June 20 6pm to 8pm at the Oakland Memorial Funeral Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ.
