Virginia "Ginny" Wohland, 67, of Oakland, NJ, passed away on September 29, 2013 in Hackensack, NJ, after a heroic battle with cancer. Ginny was born on December 30, 1945, in St. Albans, NY, to Charles and Gertrude (McCann) Wollny. She graduated from Dominican Commercial High School in 1963 and Adelphi University in 1967, the first in her family to graduate from college. She worked as a commercial artist in New York City before she was married on December 29, 1968, to Edward Wohland. Ginny became a homemaker whose interests included reading, traveling, gardening, crafts, and caring for her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Edward, of Oakland; daughter Susan Gillece and her husband Timothy of Mt. Olive, NJ; daughter Diane Wohland of Brooklyn, NY; two grandchildren, Brian and Emma Gillece, of Mt. Olive, NJ; and sister, Linda, of Queens Village, NY. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemary and Barbara.
