Trudy Don-affectionately known to all as Mom / Oma / Grandma -passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy as vibrant as the gardens she tended. From her roots in Munich to her final sun-drenched days in Rumson, NJ, Trudy found her greatest peace by the shore.
Trudy was a rare combination of a "tell-it-like-it-is" straight-talker and a truly gentle soul. Whether she was lost in the pages of a good book, nurturing her garden, or enjoying the salt air at the beach, she lived with a quiet, firm grace.
Her spirit lives on in her three daughters, her six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, who will forever remember her honesty, her strength, and the way she made every family moment special. We celebrate a life well-lived and a woman deeply loved.
