Silvia Wilcox (born Silvia Soler Fonseca), 79, of Oakland, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2020. Silvia was born in Palmas Soriano, Cuba to parents Pedro and Manuela on November 3, 1940. She treasured her educational years, and spent her time working in various jobs to support her family after immigrating to the United States in 1969. Silvia loved working as a seamstress and sharing her artistic gifts. She spent her later years shopping for everything sparkly at Macy's and enjoying the company of her friends at New Life Adult Activity Center. Above all, Silvia treasured every opportunity to care for her friends and family, always having a cup of espresso or a sweet snack ready to share. Silvia is survived by her sons, Lou, Albert, and Ralph, their loving spouses, Teri, Jeffery, and Monica, and by her beloved granddaughters, Katherine, Elizabeth, Vivian, Gabrielle, and Jacqueline. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Luis Wilcox, her parents, siblings, and many loving cousins. Funeral services will be held privately due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
