Sherrill Lea Harrod HARROD Sherrill Lea, 63, passed away on June 19th, 2016. Sherrill was born and raised in Oakland, NJ. She graduated from Indian Hills High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Hiram College in Ohio in 1974 where she enjoyed a semester abroad studying art history in Europe. She later attained a Masters Degree in Marketing. Sherrill moved to Ringwood, NJ in 1985. A few years later she met her best friend and companion of the last 25 years, Cosmo Cuocci. Sherrill worked for various companies including American Cyanamid, Meldisco and UniLever. Sherrill loved the arts, nature, all animals (especially cats, birds and puffins) and loved to travel. She enjoyed many activities over the years including hiking, bicycling and skiing. Skiing was her first love. She has been an active member of the Ramapo Mountain Ski Club for the last 30 years. She has served as both Hospitality and Tickets Coordinator and currently was a member of their Board of Trustees. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Pompton Lakes. Sherrill is predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Sheridan Harrod. She is survived by her life partner, Cosmo Cuocci, her half brother Greg Harrod and his wife Judi, and her beloved cats, Silverado and Maxine.
