Salvatore "Sal" Granato, 91, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Formerly of Wanaque, NJ and Coconut Creek, FL.  Born August 6, 1932 Baucina, Sicily, Italy to Girolamo & Maria (Cali) Granato. He immigrated to the U S. in 1951 He married his beloved wife Giovanna "Gina" on April 1, 1956. Salvatore was President of an architectural woodworking firm, Amberg & Hinzmann and retired in 1991. His success story is truly the American dream. Salvatore is survived by his wife Giovanna Granato and daughter Mary Cracco (Salvatore). He cherished his grandchildren; Janelle Mandas (Christopher), Michael Cracco (Nicole Amoresano). He adored his great grandchild Capri Mandas. Survived by his sister Lina Dina, brother Girolamo Granato, daughter in law Sarah and many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his son Jerome Granato, sister Sr. Antonina Granato, oldest brother Michael Granato (Filomena), brother in law Andrew Dina and sister in law Antoinette Granato. Visiting Sunday 6-8 PM at Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ. Funeral Liturgy Monday 9:30AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 117 Franklin Ave, Oakland NJ. Entombment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's of New Jersey 425 Eagle Rock Avenue suite 203 Roseland, NJ 07068.
