Robert L Jacod Jr

Robert "Bobby" L. Jacod Jr. passed away suddenly on July 16, 2026. A lifelong resident of Oakland, New Jersey, Robert held a love for the town he called home and the people who made it special.

In high school he started Clean Cut Lawn Service, caring for properties in Oakland and surrounding Bergen County towns. Thereafter, for almost 30 years, Robert devoted himself to serving the Oakland community through his work with the Oakland School District. He began his career at Dogwood Hill Elementary School, continued at Valley Middle School, and ultimately became Buildings and Grounds Supervisor for the entire district. His dedication, reliability, and pride in his work left a lasting impact on generations of students, staff, and families.

Robert will be remembered as warm, welcoming, generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether through his work, his friendships, or his everyday kindness, he made those around him feel cared for and valued.

In his free time, Robert enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He found joy and peace in nature and treasured the time he spent pursuing the activities he loved.
