Robert E. Burger, age 93, passed away on August 28, 2022 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Robert was a resident of Oakland, NJ for 63 years .  He was born in Newark, N.J. and Robert graduated from Newark High School and attended Newark College of Engineering.  He served in the U.S. Army National Guard, and was employed by Bendix Corporation for 30 years and then worked for Howmedica (now part of Stryker) for another 15 years, both as Chief Tool Designer.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Doris in 2006 and his father and mother, George and Wilma Burger and also his brother Richard. Robert is survived by his children, Warren Carl Burger, Theodore Robert Burger, Debby Elaine Mitrosky, Kurt Andrew Burger and Alison Leigh Buis. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours are Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 4 PM – 8 PM at the Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, N. J.  The funeral will be on Thursday, September 1 ^st and will proceed from Oakland Memorial Home to the burial site and the burial will be at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Rd, Totowa, N.J.
