TINNERELLO, Orvea "Vera" of Bloomingdale and Oakland passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Vera was born on April 13, 1923, in the small village of Calemecca in the Pistoia Mountains of Italy to Norma and Giulio Piastrelli. She grew up in Paterson and graduated from East Side High School. Prior to retirement she worked for Bradlees in Wayne for over 35 years where she made many friends. She was a loving mother to Linda Jones and her husband David of Oakland and Yolanda Manella of Savage, MN. She was a devoted grandmother to David Jones Wanaque, James Jones and his wife Sara of Wanaque, Tom Manella and his wife Mary Jo of Savage, MN and an adoring Nonna to her great-grandchildren Aiden, Lucas, Kennedy and Madelyn. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Piastrelli and her niece Donna Wejnert and nephew Bob Piastrelli and great-niece Stephanie Wejnert. Mom, Grandma, Nonna will affectionately be remembered for her lovingly prepared Italian meals and her dinner table that was the source of many warm Family memories. Friends and relatives will be received at Oakland Memorial Home; 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland NJ on Thursday October 25, from 5-9 PM. Funeral Service will be at the funeral home on Friday 11AM. Cremation will be private.
