YOUNG Neil R. Young passed away on February 6, 2017 in Oakland, New Jersey after a more than three year battle against colon cancer. Neil was born in 1954 in North Bergen, NJ to the late Alice and Leo Young. Neil spent his career as a research chemist beginning with Degen Oil in Jersey City, then Sun Chemical in Carlstadt, NJ and finally ending his career at SIKA in Lyndhurst, NJ. Neil's work produced several patents over the years for the industry. Neil loved to collect music, bowl Friday nights with his buddies, and spend time with his family (feline family members included). He enjoyed collecting beautiful works of art and going to fairs, galleries, and art shows as well as a trip to Home Goods or TJ Maxx to find a bargain. Neil is survived by his wife Kathy, Sister Gaye Sable, and Brother Roger Young as well as several loving nieces and nephews.
