Nazzareno Capriotti

Nazzareno "Ted" Capriotti, born September 23, 1941, in Nyack, New York, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, at the age of 84. Ted was a longtime resident of Teaneck, New Jersey, where he lived for over 40 years.

A devoted family man, Ted is survived by his partner of many years, Kathy Riordan; his daughter, Debra Mahoney; his son, Theodore Capriotti; his granddaughters, Nicole and Gabriella Mahoney; his son-in-law, Kevin Mahoney; and his daughter-in-law, Jessie Capriotti.

Ted was a hardworking and dedicated individual who devoted his life to his landscaping business, County Lane Landscaping, which he started in his twenties. His son, Theodore, worked alongside him in the business from its very beginning, a source of great pride for Ted. He truly loved what he did and continued working right up until his passing. Gardening was one of his greatest passions, especially his vegetable garden, and he took immense pride in creating beautiful outdoor spaces. In his younger years, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing, making countless cherished memories with family and friends.

A private graveside service to honor Nazzareno "Ted" Capriotti will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Cemetery, 980 Huron Road, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.

Ted will be greatly missed, but his spirit, work ethic, and love for his family will live on in all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nazzareno Capriotti; his mother, Agnes Green; and his grandson, Todd Capriotti.
