Mary V. Chucka, affectionately known as Ginger, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on September 20, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ginger spent her life as a devoted homemaker, firmly establishing herself as the heart of her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 and a half years, Donald Chucka, her sons Gary and Douglas Chucka, her daughters Carol Montgomery and Ginny Chucka and their respective spouses, Jean Chucka, Barbara Klein, and Ron Barrette who will forever cherish the memories of time spent with her.
Ginger was renowned for her passion for gardening and sewing, as well as her adventurous spirit. A dedicated world traveler, she reveled in exploring destinations from the picturesque shores of Little Gasparilla Island in Florida to the breathtaking landscapes of New England, and far beyond to Australia, Norway, and through the Panama Canal. Always with a sense of wanderlust, she sought out lighthouses along her beach excursions and enjoyed hiking with her children, embracing the beauty of nature wherever they roamed.
A talented baker, Ginger took immense joy in creating birthday cakes for her family members, often experimenting with new recipes that delighted young and old alike. She was a devoted family woman who loved spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, fostering a legacy of love and connection.
