Obituary

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Born August 6, 1937, in New York, NY, Mary passed away at the age of 87 in her home on May 1, 2025. At the time of her passing, Mary was surrounded by her two children, Bill Jr. and Lauren. She was predeceased by Bill, her husband of 58 years, and her brothers, Ralph and Joe. Mary is survived by her sister, Frances, a.k.a. Franny; son, Bill; daughter, Lauren; daughter-in-law, Traci; son-in-law, Bill; granddaughters, Erin, Megan, Brooke, and Kristen; grandson, Will; and great-grandson, Liam.

At a young age, Mary pursued her passion for dancing and gymnastics as a Turner Girl for the NYC Turner Athletic Club. Upon graduating from Julia Richman High School, Mary became a secretary at Colgate-Palmolive. She later became executive secretary to the vice president of AMF. In 1965, she and her husband, Bill, moved from New York City and settled in Ringwood, NJ, where they raised their family. Mary became a stay-at-home mom and was a devoted mother. She was also very active in her community and church. Later in life, Mary launched a successful 30-year career in real estate.

Gregarious in nature, she was the catalyst for many neighborhood picnics, camping trips, and holiday parties. She may not have always been the first to arrive, but she was often the last to leave. Mary was adventurous and loved to travel. Along with her husband, Bill, family, and friends, she traveled the world over, seeing many exotic and far-off places. She loved to play tennis and saw it as another opportunity to socialize with friends and family. More than anything, Mary loved spending time with her five grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as "Mimi." Mary lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew her.
