Linda Carol Dowhan (née Hanna), born on July 22, 1944, passed away on October 2, 2025. She was a longtime resident of Fairview and Bergenfield, New Jersey. Linda graduated from Cliffside Park High School and went on to build a life filled with love, dedication, and adventure.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Evelyn and William Hanna. While working in New York City as a switchboard operator for Carrier Corporation, she met the love of her life, Theodore "Ted" Dowhan. They were married on September 9, 1972, and shared many joyful years together- always together in heart and spirit.

Linda had a passion for cooking and traveling. She especially loved spending summers on cruises throughout the Caribbean and along the Eastern Seaboard, often joined by friends and family. Her adventurous spirit and warm hospitality were felt by all who knew her.

In addition to her professional work, Linda was a former EMT and proud member of the Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps, where she served her community with compassion and dedication.

She is survived by her stepson, Stephen Dowhan (Melaney); her sister, Dorothy Baer (George); her grandchildren Rachel Muhlenforth (Daniel), and Eric Dowhan (Ashley); her niece Emily Vella (John), and nephew William Baer; her great-grandchildren April and Lily Muhlenforth, and Brantley and Caleb Dowhan; and her grand-niece and grand-nephew, Shannon and Christian Vella.

Linda will forever be remembered for her generous heart, adventurous and lively spirit, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
