Oakland – Laura M. Rasa (Giovannini), 81 of Oakland, died Tuesday 10/15/19 at Morristown Medical Center.   She was born and raised in Newark, but later moved to Oakland to raise her family and lived there for over 50 years.  She worked at Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, NJ and retired after 20 plus years of service in 2010.

She is predeceased by her husband John Rasa Sr.  She is survived by her four children, John Rasa Jr, of Oakland, Kenneth Rasa and wife, Francine of Denville, Robert Rasa, of Oakland, and Laura Murray and husband Thomas, of Vernon, NJ.  She was the loving grandmother to John Patrick and Thomas Ian who were the light of her life.
