A diehard fisherman who loved to cook for his friends and family, passed on December 30th 2020 after a long battle with cancer. Joe lived life on his own terms, never hesitated to be who he was and loved his family with all that he was. Joe's loyalty was as strong as his laughter and he was always the life of the party. Joe's heart extended beyond family and friends, with a love and unique connection with all of nature's creatures. One never knew if he would bring home or be found playing with a befriended dog, cat, raccoon, bird, snake or lizard. Joe is predeceased by his mother, Eleanor, father, Vito, brother, Vito Sampogna and the love of his life, his wife, Annmarie. He is survived by his children Kristen, Joseph and his wife Jackie and Kimberly and her husband Jorge; his grandchildren TJ, Jimmy, Annmarie, Matthew, Joey and Alex; his girlfriend Carrie and her daughter Ali and his fur baby, Mercedes. In lieu of flowers, Joe has requested donations to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
