Joseph Victor Haslett, age 59, died peacefully at home on Monday November 19, 2018 following his battle with cancer. Joe was a wonderful, caring, fun loving person who had many friends, including his adoptive families on Elting Road in Catskill NY, and his extended family in Oakland who will miss him greatly. Joe was a pressman at DeLux Packaging in Saugerties for many years, all of his coworkers whom he considered friends. Joey has joined our mother Helen in heaven and is survived by our wonderful dad Victor, his sisters Mary Haslett, Kathy Haslett, JoAnn Haslett, Denise Gulan (husband Dieter), Elaine Maxwell and brothers Mike Haslett and John Haslett (wife Ellen). He will also be missed greatly by nieces Kate Newkirk, Amber Haslett and nephews Ryan Maxwell, Jason Maxwell and Victor Haslett. Friends can visit family on Friday morning at Oakland Memorial Home 10:00 am with religious services at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Valley Hospice in Ridgewood NJ.
