HELEN L. (KENYON) WOODWARD, 96, formerly of Oakland, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2023 in Plano, Texas.

Helen, fondly referred to as "Nana" by her family, was born in Paterson, NJ to the late Charles F. Kenyon, Sr. and Ruth Struck Kenyon on July 18, 1926. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Bender, and her husband John, of Plano, TX, grandchildren John P. Bender, III and wife, Elizabeth, Michelle Bender Irving and husband, Kevin, Justin Woodward and wife Savannah, and six great grandchildren who all live in Texas. Helen is also survived by her brother, Donald Kenyon and sister-in-law Shelley of Winfield, IL, brother-in-law Neal Faber of Newton, NJ and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester, and son Bruce, and siblings Charles and Robert Kenyon and Dorothy Sabbagh.

Holding true to the promise her daughter made when Helen consented to moving to Texas in 2015, this Jersey girl's cremains will be returned home and placed to rest with husband Lester, in Pond's Cemetery in Oakland, NJ. A graveside service, officiated by Rev. Russell Stammer, will be held on Sept. 9 ^th at 11AM. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
