Generoso T. Russo, 77, of Oakland, NJ passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 surrounded by family & friends. He was born on January 16, 1937 in North Bergen, NJ. He is the son of late Frieda & Carmine Russo. He was the younger of two siblings. He served as an MP in the United States Army in the 1950's. After his discharge he joined his father in the family business, Union City Mirror & Table Co. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Mayda Russo and his six children; Leandra, Lisa, Lourdes, Daniel, Thomas & Gene. Along with his grandchildren; Alexander, Giovanni, Jenna Rose, Xavier, Brandon & Alyssa. Visiting hours will be: Wednesday, September 10th at Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Rd, Oakland, NJ from 7-9pm & Thursday, September 11th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be Friday, September 12th at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Franklin Lakes at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
