In Loving Memory of Fouad A. Slim
November 15, 1948 – July 11, 2025

With full hearts and heavy sadness, we share that Fouad A. Slim, a devoted husband, loving father, adoring grandfather, and loyal friend, has passed away. He left this world surrounded by the same deep love he gave so freely throughout his life.

Born in Nazareth on November 15, 1948, Fouad came to the United States in 1967 at just 19 years old, carrying with him courage, determination, and a heart full of love for his family. He worked hard his entire life, never shying away from responsibility, and retired in 2022 after decades of dedication. But his proudest work was always the home and family he built. He loved deeply, laughed loudly, and could grow just about anything from the earth with his hands.

Fouad was the steady center of his family. He shared a one-of-a-kind bond with his wife, Samia Slim, a marriage full of humor, teasing, and fierce love. Together, they created a home that was as real and warm as they were.

He was a proud father to Rula Ballantine (husband James), Rita Savia (husband James), and Samer Slim (wife Ashley), and the beloved "Cido" to six grandchildren: Eli, Evie, James, Jack, Jonah, and Hannah. They were his joy, his pride, his heart, and they knew it in every hug, every "habibi," every way he showed up for them.

He had the most contagious laugh, a gift for making everyone feel like they belonged, and a calm strength that held everything together. He was honest to the core, loyal without question, and full of both fire and tenderness. He didn't need to say much, you just felt his love in everything he did.

Fouad now joins his parents and brothers in heaven, but his spirit will live on in all of us: in the gardens we care for, the food we share, the stories we tell, and the people we continue to love because of how he taught us to love.

We'll carry you with us always, Baba. Thank you for being exactly who you were. That was more than enough, it was everything.
