Florence J. Fahmie, 85, a resident of Goshen, NY and formerly of Middletown NY and Oakland, New Jersey died August 10, 2025. She was born July 4, 1940 in Paterson, NJ to the late George and Gladys Fahmie. She was raised and educated in Paterson, NJ graduating from Eastside High School.
Florence was a self employed Electrologist for most of her adult life practicing for 30 years in Oakland, NJ. She was a pioneer in the field of Electrology by developing and patenting S.E.S (Sub-Epidural System). She also owned and operated the Florence Acquaire Institute of Electrology in Wayne, NJ.
She enjoyed preparing Syrian cuisine which was loved by her family. Florence loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter Ariel. Florence was a devoted catholic and attended mass at Saint Joseph's Church in Middletown, NY.
She was married to William W. Acquaire, Sr. for 25 years.
She is survived by her beloved children:
William W. Acquaire, Jr. (Elisabeth), George Acquaire, Frank Acquaire and Gladys Predmore (Kevin).
Grandchildren Taylor Watts (Richie), Britney Damico (Joe), Tim Acquaire (Hannah), Chris Acquaire (Paulina Vasilieu), Matt Acquaire, Kevin Predmore, Jr. and Anna Predmore
great grandchildren Sienna Watts, Ryder Watts, Avery Damico and Ariel Decker.
Also survived by her sisters Mary Acquaire and Gladys Attenasio (Joseph) and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, brother Michael Fahmie, sister Theresa Fahmie and grandson Brandon Acquaire.
Visitation will be 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Wednesday August 20, 2025 at Oakland Memorial Home 330 Ramapo Valley Road Oakland, NJ.

11:30AM at the funeral home.
