On Monday February 8, 2021 the world lost a great son, brother, and uncle, (who was better known as a dad for 6.) Flavio Hernandez, 59, is now at eternal peace. He lost his battle to cancer at his home in Oakland, NJ surrounded by loved ones. Flavio was a beloved son, born to Pastora and Flavio Hernandez born on March 14, 1961 in Ecuador, and was raised in New York City. He moved to Oakland, NJ in 1 990 after his sister divorced, was her best friend, and the emotional support for her kids. Flavio played a significant role in the lives of all his nieces and nephews. He worked for over 1 5 years at National Electronics Alloys (NEA), in Oakland, NJ. Like his second home, Flavio made very dear friends that became like family to him. Anyone in the community that met Flavio was taken back by his generosity, witty sarcasm and great sense of humor Flavio was survived by his mother Pastora Hernandez, sisters Nancy Hernandez, Lupe Hernandez, Zoila Rodriguez, and brother Vincent Hernandez. He was preceeded in death by his father Flavio Hernandez. We have come to know a great sadness without you. We will love you forever... For all that would like to attend, service will be held at Oakland Memorial Home located at 330 Ramapo Valley Rd Oakland, NJ 07436 on Thursday February 11, 2021 from 3:30pm until 7:30pm.
