Obituary of Evelyn Walker Evelyn D. Walker Oakland – Evelyn D. Walker (nee. Dornich), 83, of Oakland passed away on February 12, 2018. Born in Clifton, NJ she moved to Oakland in 1965. Evelyn retired as an Executive Assistant at Boston Scientifics in 1996. She was a longstanding member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Oakland where she was on the Flower Guild for many years. Evelyn was also an active member of the Oakland Senior Club where she enjoyed the companionship of her fellow seniors, especially the bingo. Evelyn is survived by her son Douglas and his wife Barbara Walker as well as her daughter Debra and her husband Bruce Taylor along with their three children Alyssa, Brooke and Kevin. In addition to her three grandchildren, Evelyn leaves behind three great grandchildren, Emma, Logan and Ava. Evelyn is predeceased by her grandsons Douglas Liam Walker and Travis Michael Taylor. Visiting Friday, February 16, 2018 from 4-8 PM at Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland. All will gather at the Oakland Memorial Home on Saturday at 11:00 AM for the Funeral Mass. In lieu flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
