Doris Janet Dalton born on 8/13/1931 passed away quietly at Tidewell Hospice In Englewood Florida with her Son at her side. Doris was born in Merrick,Long Island where she lived her childhood with her Father William Flore,Mother Mary,Brother Mike and sister Barbara. She married the love of her life John "Jack" Dalton and moved to Massapequa, Long Island,where their son Keith was born. After living the Island life and in true pioneer fashion Jack up and moved the family a million miles away to Oakland New Jersey. Doris and Jack lived a loving life there together for 13 years until Jacks sudden passing in 1976. While she only had a short time with my Dad,it was full of family time and love. My Mother will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Jaime Dalton of Vernon New Jersey and Kimberly (and her husband, Garette) Ziem ofTotowa, New Jersey. Also her great grandchildren,Dalton Garret Ziem and Emerson Jack Ziem. My Mother was a strong woman who got dealt a crappy hand in life losing her only Son to marriage and two days later losing the other love of her life. Alone in just two days,many would have folded. Not my Mother,she moved to Florida,to be by her Mother and Brother. She completed her career at IBM retired ,traveled the world and just loved life. Most of all she loved a good joke and we shared many. Mom would not want us sitting around feeling sorry,she would want us to hoist a pint or two and tell some funny stories.So let's get after that, this one's for you Mom. Elvis has left the building.
