Dolores C Altieri

Dolores Catherine Altieri, née Sheehan formally of Oakland, NJ, born on December 6, 1936, in Jersey City NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 19,2026. Dolores attended Holy Trinity Grammar and High School in Hackensack, NJ, where she met her husband, Richard Altieri. Dolores and Richard were married on April 27,1957. Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved unconditionally. Dolores is survived by her husband Richard, daughters Rosemarie Duffy and her husband Tim, Kathleen Kesenheimer and her husband Ralph, son Christopher and his wife Nancy, a brother John Sheehan and his wife Geraldine, and seven grandchildren, Timothy Convery, Nicole Lawson, Rachel Altieri, Sean Kesenheimer, Allison Altieri, Kiley Kesenheimer, and Shane Duffy and several nieces and nephews. Dolores was predeceased by her two sons Richard and Michael Altieri, a brother Timothy Sheehan, and sister Marilyn Lungren.

Dolores stayed at home to raise their 5 children. Her greatest joy in life was to be a mother and wife. When her children were grown, she worked at the Wyckoff Public Library for over 10 years.

Dolores will always be remembered for her red hair and her beautiful Irish green eyes as well as a constant smile. She always loved getting together with friends and family.

Dolores will be laid to rest privately at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes NJ.
