Catherine Ward Linzenbold of Oakland NJ passed away on May 15, 2021 at 61. She was born on June 11, 1959 to Charles B and Anne Ward of Allendale NJ where she grew up. Cathy graduated Ridgewood High School in 1977. Early on Cathy found her calling as a chef in the kitchen of the Allendale Bar & Grill. Over the years she perfected her skills at various restaurants and corporate cafes including the Sheridan Crossroad Hotel, Konica Minolta, Becton Dickinson, Whole Foods and most recently ShopRite of Oakland. Cathy was well know for welcoming friends and family to her home for holiday dinners, cookouts or just drop by. She would greet company with a smile and then whipped up gourmet treats and meals, ensuring that all were well fed. Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 30 years Scott Linzenbold, her siblings Charles Christopher Ward, John Ward, Patricia Mason. Nieces and nephews Andrew and Maryanne Ward and Lauren and Conner Mason. Brother and Sisters in laws Bob and Ronnie Linzenbold, Jean Caudle and nieces Grechen, Meaghan and Linda Preble, their children. Her many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and Butter, her cat.
