Bender, Barbara Ruth (nee Fromm) wife of Conrad Bender Jr. who predeceased her in 1995. Born in Jersey City in 1922 she was a 45 year resident of Oakland, NJ. A long time Eastern Star member and a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Oakland, NJ. Barbara was a gift to all who knew her weather a beloved wife, mother, grandmother aunt or neighbor. Truly one of the greatest generation. She is survived by her son Conrad and daughter in law Debra and grand children Katherine and Conrad and other family members. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday July 21, 2012 at 10 Am at the Oakland Memorial Home 330 Ramapo Valley Road Oakland with burial to follow at the George Washington Memorial Park Paramus, NJ. Relatives and friends may visit the Oakland Memorial Home on Friday July 20, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
